adidas Russia Home Jersey 2010/12
Today at the Pavlovsky Hall in Moscow’s Marriot Grand Hotel, the Russia Football Union officially presented their new home jersey and kit. Russia will debut their brand new kit during their crucial playoff with Slovenia on Saturday in Moscow. Should the Russians come out on top after the two-legged World Cup playoff series, this scarlet get up with serve as their primary uniform throughout World Cup 2010 in South Africa.
The new Russia jersey was modeled by Russian stars Roman Pavlyuchenko, Sergei Semak, Vasily Berezutsky and Pavel Pogrebnyak. Russia’s home kit is a dark scarlet color with thin horizontal stripes adorning the jersey and socks. The jersey has some very intricate and truly awesome detail which matches the theme of their federation badge with the two birds.
I think these are the most outstanding Jerseys I've seen in quite some time. Things were becoming too similar and predictable. I think this is a great way to change the look of the kit, it's a very simple desigin that demands respect from there opponents. I dont think that Russia has shown well this world cup, and something as simple as new kits can spark a fire beneath the Russias and have them come roaring back for the Wold Cup Finals. You never know!
By far the best Jersey out there to date! I love the way Russia plays and now their jerseys add to their style.
