The U.S. national team tied Poland 2-2 in Chicago this past Saturday. It wasn’t the outcome they were hoping for, but they did get to see what midfielder, Jermaine Jones, was able to bring to the table. Jones made his debut that night and surely surpassed the expectations of his fellow teammates. Stuart Holden, another midfielder, played alongside Jones and said that he fit in well with the group.
Even though they could not pull out a win, it was a sort of relief to know that they could depend on their new player. Holden described Jones’ playing as aggressive; he can bring “a bit of bite and tackle” to the game. His teammates are excited to see what Jones can really do after he becomes comfortable with the team.
