South Africa, Greece and Japan adidas Jerseys Unveiled

Earlier today several new jerseys for World Cup qualification and play were unveiled. In adidas’ continual roll out of new federation jerseys, the world was shown the jerseys that will be worn by South Africa and Japan at the World Cup finals, and the jersey Greece will wear if they qualify through their playoff this weekend.

First up is the host nation South Africa. Donning their traditional yellow and green, the new South Africa home jersey will see action for the first time ever during their November 14th friendly with World Cup qualifier Japan in Port Elizabeth.

Japan who will face South Africa in the above mentioned friendly, showed off their new kits in a ceremony to celebrate their fourth straight World Cup berth. The “Blue Samurai” as they known, look to continue their recent run of quality play in the World Cup finals. The Japan home jersey will feature a blue jersey coupled with white shorts and matching blue socks.

Another jersey released was that of Greece. The Greeks still have a lot of work to do in order to ensure their place in the field of next years World Cup finals in South Africa. Greece, who qualified for a playoff, will face Ukraine in a two-leg playoff to see which team will take part in next summers festivities. The launch of a brand new look should give the Greek players a boost as they head into the biggest matches of their lives. adidas’ new Greece kit is a beautiful all white setup with awesome blue highlights.

    Not only do these new kits make these teams look legit but stylish at the same time. Adidas did a good job combining great quality gear with athlete specific features for best performance.

    I think that the African Nations are going to surprise a lot of people, they have tremendous talent and ability. Hopefully their football minds show up, and they're able to compete with the best teams the world has to offer. Last World Cup Finals the African teams just showed their faces, this years World Cup watch for them to push into the knock out rounds and maybe even suprise some big Nations.

    I agree with your assesment that African Nations will surprise people at the World Cup. Most countries that host the World Cup usually progress to the knockout stages. The new kits are sweet and I can't wait to see what other countries kits are like.
