Champions League is back and it seems to be rougher than ever. On Tuesday, AC Milan faced Tottenham in the first leg of the last-16, giving Tottenham the win thanks to Peter Crouch’s 80th minute goal. Yet the win was overshadowed by a horrendous two footed tackle from AC Milan side, Mathieu Flamini.
Tottenham defender Vedran Corluka was forced off after the Flamini’s dirty two foot, miraculously earning only a yellow card. X-rays have shown that luckily the leg is not broken, but doctors predict Corluka will be sidelined for at least four weeks.
Angered by the lack of a red card, Harry Redknapp has slammed Flamini, calling on UEFA to take disciplinary action for what the referee’s refused to see.
Watch the clip of the tackle below. Think it should have been a red card? You be the ref.
