
Forbes recently released it’s annual rankings of the world’s most valuable sports franchises and even while building a huge debt of nearly $1 billion, Manchester United remains a top the heap being valued at $1.84 billion. Also making the top ten from the world of soccer was Real Madrid of Spain and Arsenal of the English Premier League.
Turning to the individuals, global soccer icon David Beckham still leads the way as the highest earning player with $43.7 million. Beckham is followed by heir apparent Cristiano Ronaldo, who rakes in over $35.8 million with his many sponsorships including Nike, Giorgio Armani, Coca-Cola, Castrol and EA Sports.
