In desperate bids to outdo or steal future talent from rivals, clubs have been scouting and signing younger and younger players. This week, we saw one of the youngest stars sign a 10 year contract with Holland‘s Eredivisie club VVV Venlo. Baerke van der Meij, just 18-months-old, has become the youngest person ever to sign a professional contract.
The toddler rose to fame earlier last week after a video of him shooting three balls into his toy box blew up on YouTube.
