In even more exciting news, it looks like adidas is finally going to release their response to Nike’s Vapor. We had reported a while ago about speculation of an adidas F70 line that was to be similar to the Nike Vapor. Building on the idea of an “ultra light” soccer shoes, it looks like adidas’ newest cleats will be called the adidas F50 adizero.
The F50 adizero will weigh only 5.8 ounces (a full ounce lighter than the Nike Vapor Superfly) and is dubbed the “fastest boot ever made”. The hollow core constructed cleats will be thermobonded to reduce weight and increase durability, but will still feature adidas trademarks such as Sprint Skin, Sprint Frame and Traxion.
We haven’t heard any official word on a release date for these, but we would assume they will be launched in the lead up to the World Cup.

Alright. Great to hear that Adidas(which I prefer over Nike) is bringing something out that can rival the Vapors. I cant believe that it's a full ounce lighter but I'm excited to see what comes of these boots. Vapors are a huge shoe in the soccer world, hopefully we can see Adidas take some vapor lovers to the other side.

Has there been any comments on pricing?
We aren't sure yet, but since they are a direct competitor to the Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly's, they will probably be in the range of $200-300. Stay tuned here and as soon as we find out a price, we'll let you know.
