Renown as one of the biggest and most prestigious tournaments in the USA, the San Diego Surf Cup is back for its XXXI edition. A summer showcase for some of today’s most talented youth, Surf Cup attracts the attention of thousands of spectators from the US and around the world, all fighting for the coveted Surf Cup Championship and the chance of being named the Best of the Best.
Bringing some of the best competition in the world to San Diego, Surf Cup hosts a display of innate skill, finesse and passion that can only be found at one of the top two tournaments in the US. Drawing over 300 college coaches and scouts in search of potential talent, Surf Cup gives every competitor a chance to display their talent and passion for the beautiful game.
As the prestigious tournament continues to grow, it has become a stepping stone into the ranks of professional and national teams. Most recently, Surf Cup alumni have made headlines in the Women’s World Cup, playing major roles for their national teams. US Women’s National Team player and Surf Cup alumni Rachel Buehler has played a vital role on the road to the Semis, creating countless opportunities and even contributing a goal against Korea. The Japanese Women’s National Team count on the help of Surf Cup alumni, Aya Miyama, who contributed two goals against New Zealand and has been a driving force in the Japanese teams midfield.
From youth soccer to the professional ranks, tournament apparel has become sort of a tradition and Surf Cup is no different. Surf Cup, Inc., Nike and Soccer Fanatic‘s partnership provides an attractive line of Official Tournament Apparel suitable for players and fans, a proud symbol of participation in prior tournaments.
